Founder and Principal Lawyer
Ali Pazuki is the founder and principal lawyer of Pazuki Law Group in Newmarket, Ontario. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2005 and has practised criminal defence for 21 years. He has conducted more than 500 trials, appears regularly in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice, and works with clients in English and Farsi.
Ali took his LLB at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, graduating in 2004. He received the highest grades in his year in Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure and Judicial Review, and was one of three students awarded the Harold G. Fox Bursary.
He articled with a criminal defence firm in Toronto, was called to the Ontario bar in 2005, and has practised criminal defence since.

He also appears on sexual assault, drug offences, theft and fraud, bail hearings and bail reviews, and breach matters.
Ali appears in the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice. Beyond the Newmarket and Barrie courthouses closest to the firm’s offices, he has appeared in Toronto, Brampton, Oshawa, Peterborough, St. Catharines, Hamilton, Guelph, Kitchener, London, Ottawa and Kingston.

Ali has delivered continuing legal education sessions to the profession, presented through the York Region Law Association, and taught in college programs.
He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the York Region Law Association, the Simcoe County Law Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.

Ali has five children and spends most of his time outside work with them. He trains regularly, and he collects antiques and vehicles. He is a long-standing motorcycle enthusiast.
